First deck

An awesome blog by Mathew Hoy and James Mathias.

Mathew started playing Magic: The Gathering during the Revised cycle, got out of it around the time of Urza's Saga, but returned to the fore when M10 came out.

James began playing magic in the summer of '93, and left the game behind mere days before the release of Urza's Destiny. He has returned full force since the release of Zendikar.

Here is a full list of the 60 cards in my blue/black mtgnoob deck. The deck is designed to be played in very casual multiplayer environments.

I’d love your input to hear what you think - what should I add or remove to make the deck work better? I’ve played four games with it and came in second place three of four times.

My first thought is to find a new home for the Pyschatogs. They are great, and the deck has lots of card drawing to fuel them, but in multiplayer games they didn’t seem to perform well.

What do you think?
